The New Serenity Prayer takes into account The Dark Takers of our Worlds:
God grant me
a. the ability to see who is for me, but also
b. to see and flee the cons that say they're for me, because friendly vamps still drain blood, and
c. to have the wisdom to know that difference, and
d. Importantly to know I hitch my ride onto my Star only because being pulled by ME is my protection as well as my innate born-into me purpose and destiny
b. to tell myself and others the truths about their consistent nature, and about my creative nature
c. to create powerfully, endlessly daily
d. to trust that 50% of today and life must "sit and ferment" for days, years, or not be resolved / completed in my lifetime. Creating in the here and now is not controlling life and its flowing directions. I learn to let it unfold, redirect, or just sit.

Correction: Vamps have been present at all times in mythic history, and in all places mythically today.
Known also as real Narcissists and Psychopaths, they seek to run our worlds, in real time and real places now, and even tomorrow. If they offer love, inclusion, or rescue, it serves only their own hidden self-gains. Still, I like this, and I'd buy this art or it's t-shirt.

1. If you're not for me, bye, I leave or flee (yes, fleeing is a good option, so stop feelings of shame, self-blame or false failure,
If you're for me, I still have to know:
2. you're for me, great, I move more toward you
3. you're for me, but a slick con Narcissist or Psychopath, and ultimately a taker and not at all "for me", but that is hidden in faked love, inclusion or promises that will not turn up for me but only serve that person's self-seeking greed, emotional or physical loot / booty.
I am getting better knowing which is which.
If "decompiling" occurs to one group, your group is next:
