What is a Butcher in story and movies? The metaphor and warning.

 An older version of the Butcher / Cannibal: the witch of Hansel and Gretel:

 Butchers and the Witch (most witches), are injunction stories: stay away, you'll die, don't be fooled by costumes and smiles. Stop, turn, run like hell.

 

 

 

 Speak the truth, Putin, Trump, and Bolsonaro are types of Butchers. There are other types.  And, they butcher, slash, kill and devour souls.

Butchers in documentaries: some have others kill for them, to keep their hands clean.

In movies, butchers are all hands-on types. 

 

 

This blog isn't against butchers, of whom I've known many fine butcher persons.

 

This is about the metaphor and M.A., Mythic Archetype of Butchers, Slashers, and Rippers, those who kill, those who are dangerous. 

 

 Historically, there are some documentaries on these Butchers. Each similar characteristics to Putin:

1. they had risen in places of influence and leadership

2. they shared psychopath thought: dominance, revenge, ego, looting, etc.

3. they viewed humans, nature, animals as scum, flies, worthless, and valid to kill, rid the world of

There is the metaphor, and shared psychology. The big story of their character and of the warning to us all is the M.A. Mythic Archetype. They are the ogre, the destructive Titans, the Kaiju, of myth and lore. 

It's odd, and even a bit beneficially jarring: if you look up butchers, like Butcher Historical Documentaries, you'll come up with a few references to actual butcher meet cutters. Beneficial? It reminds us of the eviscerating and cutting objects of the psychopathic butcher.

Our emphasis here is not butchers or movies where the psychopath is also a cannibal, but that is a sub sub-genre.

There are butcher movies that are slasher types, 

Maybe most slasher movies are also butcher movies, as the weapons, the cutting, and dissection are similar:

Classic slasher films include Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Gore: Gore films, also called splatter films, zero in on the vulnerability of the human body, often with frequent close-ups. Examples of gore films include The Evil Dead and Saw.

Then, there are butcher movies, that are slasher, cannibal types.

There are many movies that are variations of a theme, for instance, Wrong Turn movies include butcher / slasher / cannibal components. 

Zachary Quinto as Evil Dr. Thredsen, slasher, ripper, and evil Butcher, cutting skin off victims, as was done in WW2.
