Well, I promised myself to not write or refer to Trump. But, this is just too blatant.
Trump says he's the most honest, humble.......and this goes on.
He is the most humble, honest man God ever made. The one!

https://thedarkknot.blogspot.com/2022/04/the-butchery-purging-weeding.htmlTo summarize, a trope is the umbrella for some concepts or micro-themes and elements of movies, but also in life.
For instance, a trope could be a repeated element, such as the Alien in the movie as often seen drooling all that KY Jelly out the mouth. It could be some element on the character, like a continual dirty spot on a shirt. It could also be something in the environment that repeats, like a door to the cellar. The Trope could repeat in one movie, a series of that movies, but also from movie to movie. An example of a more universal trope is the alien movies that have alien impregnated persons, and the fetus is seen moving in the womb, dramatically.
Movie Trope, the umbrella for:
(for instance, Wizard of Oz and many movies move from B and W to
color, or reverse for somber moods, other cinematic elements that we recognize consciously, or unconsciously
repeated use of objects, decor, costumes, a spot of grease on a shirt, open blouse,
verbal and social cliches, like "Free Willy" used in good context, or parodies
Those outside the movie industry often simplify it all to just "cliches".
Here is an example of that, a poster in Europe of Putin.
The trope of cliche is blood dripping out of the mouth of cannibal butcher killers or vampires.
And, a scene from American Horror Story, of an evil psychopath who plays an evil clown in one years episodes, but in this final year's series, plays a vampire.
This is an incomplete list, as it looks at cliches that are mostly verbal phrases, but still, it gives some expansion to thought on Tropes.
synonyms for cliche
See the links above for lists of typical movie tropes.
Movie tropes exist in the movies and in our lives. We roll our eyes, when a person uses a cliche in a film story, or in the car with us. It's the same, especially for verbal tropes, cliches.
Tropes create, or at least, lead to the development of our reaction, feeling, or mood. We startle with one, we roll our eyes in disgust at another.
Trope can wear out in a bad movie.
Tropes, repeated, can be comic parody.
Tropes can wear out in time.
Characters like Putin and Trump can simply wear them out. They no longer function as intended by the psychopath, but, as we see in psychopaths:
1. a majority no longer notice them, or find them repulsive.
2. While, a minority few, just like Trump's 30% of the country's populace, followers, continue to eat it up. They are still wearing MAGA hats, and more.
For Trump, he's simply conning, lying, and b*******ing all. It's planned, it's propaganda and counter info, and he actually knows how to use this method to go past 30% of the population, and develop larger follower bases. He looks like a stupid clown, but it's all planned, from the smiles to the free hats tossed into the crowds.
