A former Russian, yes, Russian foreign minister said that his own country's Putin was evil, dark, and there is no end game. There is no end game, that the games psychopaths play are games that are always open ended.
He applied these two guidelines. In fact, there were several retired Russians stating this:

1. there is end game, so wise up
2. Putin will only continue to Moldova and Latvia after Ukraine, and then on.... there is no end game in the mind of Putin or any psychopath
3. Don't be fooled thinking your tippy toeing around them helps you or calms Putin. He's not to be calmed because he's all caffeined up doing what he's doing. He likes it. He wants more of "it".
The war is what he does best
4. Don't be fooled into thinking that your tippy toeing helps you or is a viable alternative: the Russian consultant said, yes, he said that Putin must be met with all forces, aggressively, without pause or reservations. Yes, this is what the Russian said!!
He also said, if you tippy toe, as you and the EU are doing now, you lose in the end.
He also said that the aggressive role has it's real tolls and costs, but you're only delaying the inevitable by a few months or years.
Yes, this is what he said.
5. He said you want more sanctions, peace talks, time. He said you're being the fool. The fool American and EU.
6. He said Hitler is the reminder of both himself, and of us: we said we'd never let this happen again, (the holocaust, WW2), and yet it's happening with our permission.
We said, this would never happen again on our watch. But, because of fear, tippy toeing, it's happening on our watch.
The inevitable is hard to face. We'd all like to avoid that first trip to the oncologist for a cancerous growth. But, there is only hope in that visit, be the outcome be joyous or hard to take.

That's us. But this is them, they had the tippy toeing down pat, but use it as a method of war, taking, killing, and destroying. That's what they do best.
